Happy Easter All!!

Easter!

Forgiveness (part 2)

For the Christian Who is Bitter or Resentful:

1. Gently point out the sinfulness of such an attitude. He or she needs first of all to put his or her own house in order, confessing the bitterness and resentment to God as sin.

2. Encourage forgiveness of those who have offended or hurt. This may be difficult, but God commands it! Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. (Colossians 3:13)

Sometimes those who deserve forgiveness the least need it the most! Forgiving as the Lord forgave implies forgetting. This may be difficult and may require time, but God can change our attitudes. Matthew 18:21-35

3. Recommend seeking to restore the broken relationship in the spirit of Colossian 3:13. in all probablility, this will mean "going the second mile Matthew 5:41, but this may be necessary in order to renew the relationship,.The Gospel always cuts across the grain of human reactions and conduct. Until one of the parties involved takes the initiative toward forgiveness and restoration, the broken relationship will continue.
again the key: is if you have a problem with someone You need to go to that person and talk and make restoration...

(Some of this  is taken out of Billy Graham Christian Worker's Handbook...and some is my word and from the Bible....Love this book...so much nuggets and Learning tool.)

Well we just.........need to.....
(remember the Bible says: if you have bitterness, sin etc, anything toward someone you need to go to that person and get it right. Most people get it backwards. they thing the person they have a problem with should come to them...) God want's us to ask for forgiveness and restoration, the broken relationship. If you don't  the Holy Spirit will prick your heart , until you get it right or you will not be in fellowship with Him.
Bitterness is a sin...

I know it is not easy to ask for forgiveness..or I should say confront that person when you find out about what they/you did. .I have been there. Sometimes I don't even know if I have hurt someone. But once it is address, I do make a point to get it right with the other party or parties. It isn't easy, but we need to be obedient to God and God alone. And I promise you will be blessed by God.. and other's will see you shine for Christ.
Again I can not stress it enough: We are ALL SINNER'S...Roman's 3:23 .But once your a child of God , you need to be obedient to God's Word...put it into action..Get things right.......by getting it right and you will have a peace of God in your Heart and get back on the right track.

Well again I thank God for His forgiveness , may you be blessed today.
Remember to be that Light...and when you do fail..get right with God and others if you have any bitterness , hate, etc in your hearts. God see's all things and what He desires is to see His children to be obedient to His Word!
Hugs Deb
(Forgiveness part 3 will be on For the Christian who cannot forgive Himself or herself:)this will be up next week after the week-end.
Great reminder for us all...

Forgiveness

I have shared some on the Holy Spirit. Know I will share on forgiveness...because the Holy Spirit also helps us in this area. That is our choice...alone...
Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord does not count against him and in whose spirit is no deceit.  Psalm 31:1,2

In one bold stroke, forgiveness obliterates the past and permits us to enter the land of new beginnings.
Billy Graham says: God's forgiveness is not just a casual statement; it is the complete blotting out of all the dirt and degradation of our past, present, and future. The only reason our sins can be forgiven is that, on the cross Jesus Christ paid their full penalty. But only as we bow at the foot of the cross, in contriion, confession, and repentance, can we find forgiveness.

The Basis for Forgiveness.
Own up to it what we are and have done(repentance) Psalm 51:3,4
Ask for forgiveness: Psalm 51:7,9
The results of Forgiveness;
Reconciliation. II Corinthians 5:19
Purification. Psalm 51:7 Romans 4:7; I John 1:9
Hebrew 8:12, Psalm 103:12; Isaiah 38:17
Remission. John 8:11 ; Romans 8:1

What a great privilege you have as you share with inquirers the joy of God's forgivenss!

We all sin daily....But it is what you do with your sin. Sometimes you don't even know if you sin(hurting others etc.) But once we know do something about. Ask God to forgive and He will cleanse you. and go to the other party invold and ask for forgiveness. Get it cleared....
You will be blessed .. Don't worry about the other party if they don't confront you they will be accountable to God. Do what God wants you to do...OBEDIENCE... to His Word...
Remember NO ONE IS PERFECT only Christ....We all need to remember this when things come and go in our life.
More tomorrow....Hope your encourage as much as I have been. The Bible is the Key! To ALL things in our life.
Love you all and have a wonderful day. hugs Deb

The Holy Spirit

Background
The Holy Spirit is one of the three persons of the Trinity. He is equal to the other two in position and power, possessing all the essential aspects of deity. He shares all the attributes of the Godhead; He is eternal, having neither begining nor end (Hebrews 9:14); omnipotent, having all power (Luke 1:35); omnipresent, being everywhere present at the same time(Psalm 139:7) and omniscient , or all knowing (I Corinthians 2:10-11)

The Holy Spirit possesses all the characteristics of personality. He is not an "it" (Romans 8:16,26)

The Holy Spirit has intellect, emotions, and will. e speaks (Acts 13:2); intercedes (Romans 8:26); testifies (John 15:26); guides(John 16:13); commands (Acts 16:6,7); appoints (Acts 20:28); leads (Romans 8:14); and reproves and convicts of sin (John 16:8). He can be lied to and tested (Acts 5:3,4,9); resisted
(Acts 7:51); grieved (Ephesians 4:30); and blasphemed (Matthew 12:31)

Each Christian must understand his o her own relationship with the Holy Spirit;

1. We are born of the Holy Spirit (John 3:6,8)
2. God has given us the Holy Spirit (John 14:16; 16:7)
3. We are baptized by the Holy Spirit (I Corinthians 12:13)
4. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit (I Corinthians 6:19-20)
5. We are sealed by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13)

Each Christian has the Holy Spirit, but not every Christian is FILLED with the Holy Spirit. We ought to desire this fullness because God commands it;
"Be filled with the Spirit"  Ephesians 5:18)

Being filled with the Holy Spirit: How much the Spirit has of us...
Again the Holy Spirit only lives in the one's that ask Jesus Christ in the hearts and life.
and I will end today with once your a children of God...did you see that in Ephesians 1:13 We are sealed by the Holy Spirit..meaning you can not lose your salvation...Praise the Lord...what a comfort that is.
Well hope you glean from this today...May the Holy Spirit...dwell in you, and you in Him..
Have a great day all.

Holy Spirit the Comforter...

When temptation come their is  a way, there is always victory in Jesus (Phil. 4;13) and from( I John 1:8,9)

Remember how important it is to hide God's Word in our hearts so the Holy Spirit can recall it when we need it. Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit leading.

One of the greatest ways God changes me is by His Word. He always pick's the right Scripture at the right time. What a reason for staying in His Word daily, reading, studying, devouring it. And then what a challenge to stay so sensitive to the Holy Spirit's speaking to me, that He can reach down and recall just exactly what I need at the very minute I need it!

That's the comfort I get God always bring back scriptures when you need it the most.
Thank You Lord for the Holy Spirit that Lives within me.

Holy Spirit Comfort Me

I tried to get on yesterday , but for some reason my blog wouldn't come up. So today I'm sharing with you what my devotion's spoke out to me..It is so Great to Read God's Word and amazing how he bring it back to memory again..
Holy Spirit Comfort's me.
The Holy Spirit causes me(us believers) to remember not only to keep me from sinning but also to supply needs in my life. When I find myself in adverse situations, He provides the Scripture I need to comfort me.
Thank You Lord !
The Holy Spirit teaches me.
Brings to my mind scripture I have hidden in my heart so that I can teach others the truths God has taught me.
Psalms 121:1-2
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, From whence cometh my help? My help cometh from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

Praise The Lord...for His Comfort and reminding me of scripture's when I need it.

I pray you glean from these short devotion today.
God Bless; hugs Deb

Spring Birth's...

One of are pigs gave birth last night into early morning....Love spring time on the farm. Wanted to share pictures to you all. She had 10 baby pigs. All so couple week old calf.

Changed--When the Holy Spirit Reminds Us.

But When I find myself in a situation where I need help immediately, then the Holy Spirit brings to my mind the Scripture that meets my need at that moment. One of the primary reasons for reading and studying the Bible is to provide Him with the Word to bring to our remembrance-When we need it.

Jesus said: These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. But the Comforter, who is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 14:25,26

We stay in the Bible, study and reading devotionally, being taught by God so the the Holy Spirit can bring to our remembrance what He has told us. We tell our children that they can't expect God to help them recall answers on a test if they have never studied the material in the first place. Neither can we expect God to bring to our remembrance answers to our needs if we have not stored His truth in our hearts.

The psalmist says; Thy Word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against Thee (Ps.119:11) This is the process of tucking the Word of God deep down in our hearts by study and memorization. As we read the Bible, study it, and listen to sermons from it, we are not to dismiss what God says to us, but are to hide those spiritual truths in the deepest recesses of our hearts.

But when we need to recall a particular spiritual truth, (for ourselfs or to help others) we have a supernatural computer operator- the Holy Spirit!

When I recognize there is something wrong in my life and I know God wants to Change me, Then when I ask God to give me a solution, the Holy Spirit often reminds me of a portion of Scripture- a verse or a single word-that shows me the specific sin that is causing my problem.

The Word of God is the answer to any problem, etc in our life.. Please take time to study and read God's Word daily..There is comfort in the scriptures...Healing....blessings......love......peace.....I could go on but I encourage you to find the nuggets that God want to share with you.
If you do not have Jesus Christ in your Heart and Life..Please ask Him into your life and Heart. Then the Holy Spirit can help you day by day. It will be the best thing you every did.

Just a little nugget from the Word of God this morning. More to come on this...
God Bless and Have a Wonderful Day. Remember God Love's You, and that He sent His Only Begotten Son. Read Book of John and please let me know how the Lord God spoke to you. Love to hear what God is doing in your life and families.
Hugs, Deb

Lord Change Me!

This has been my prayer ever sense I asked Jesus into my heart and life. The year of 1976. Praise the Lord for working in me and changing me day by day..To be more like Jesus is my goal...Shine bright for Him...bring other's to the Lord....help the weak....encourage the saints. The list could go on and on...
I would like  to share this with you all.. I believe this will help you keep focus.
LORD , CHANGE ME!
"Lord , Change Me" comes when I(YOU) let His Words abide, take up their residence, in me(you)(John15:7) . The change comes when I(YOU) am a doer of the Word and not a hearer only (James 1:22-25). For when I (YOU) look into the Bible and do not apply it, I(YOU) am like a person beholding my face in a mirror and immediately forgetting the mess I(YOU) see. But when I (YOU) look into God's Word and do what it says, then I (YOU) am changed into a blessed person.
 Changed-when I(YOU) study His Word.

Ask God to "LORD, CHANGE ME"(YOU) over the next few weeks as you meet him daily in his Word.
Please let me know how and what changes God has done in your life...Praise God for it as well...
In Christ Love;
Deb

Proverbs

Great wisdom in Proverbs..I encourage you to read a chapter a day.
Proverbs 11: 3 Honesty guides good people; dishonesty destroys treacherous people.
Proverbs 11:17 Your kindness will reward you, but your cruelty will destroy you.
Proverbs 11:19 Godly people find life; evil people find death
Proverbs 11:27 If you search for good, you will find favor; but if you search for evil, it will find you!
Proverbs 11:30 The seeds of good deeds becomes a tree of life; a wise person wins friends.

God's advice about money
Proverbs gives some practical instruction on the use of money, although sometimes it is advice we would rather not hear. It's more comfortable to continue in our habits than to learn how to use money more wisely. The advice includes
Be generous in giving.......11:24,25: 22:9
Place people's needs ahead of profit...11:26
Be cautious of countersigning for another....17:18:22;26,27
Don't accept bribes...17:23
Help the poor....19:17;21:13
Store up for the future..21:20
Be careful about borrowing...22:7

Other verses to study include 11:15; 20:16;25:14;27:13

God is always teaching me...Thank You Lord!
