Ladies Bible Study FUN NIGHT!!

We had a great time drawing on these mugs with sharpie markers....
Thought it would be a great reminder for all of us as we sip on a cup of coffee or tea , it will remind us that we need to "Lord Change Me" every day....Romans 8:29 to be like his Son;
Romans 12:2 Let God transform you .....

What you do is draw or write on them how ever you like, then turn your oven on to 350 and bake them for 30 minutes. Then shut your oven off and let them cool down in oven.
Hand wash them do not put them in the dish washer...
Enjoy!! hugs Deb

Apple Pie Filling

18 pounds apples
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
10 cups water
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

Need: about 7 quart jars and lids. Cleaned and hot bathed jars..
Wash apples, then peel, core, and slice. To prevent apples from browning, place them in large bowls of water with lemon juice added(2 teaspoons lemon juice to 5 cups water)

In a large pot, combine sugar, starch, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg, and water. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly for approximately 15 minutes or until thick and caramel colored. Remove from heat and stir in 3 tablespoons lemon juice.

Put apples into pot with the liquid. Mix well...bring it back to a boil...simmer for about 1-2 minutes. Ladle the hot apple/liquid mixture into canning jars. Seal and place on counter with towel wrapped over them.

"Lord Change Me" Bible Study.....

Ladies Bible Study started up last night and the book we will be doing is : "Lord Change Me" I'm so excited about doing this with the ladies and thought I would share some of the study with you.

I open up with Romans 8:29 For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

So I see Gods ultimate Goal for us is to make us like Christ...

I John 3:2 Dear friends , we are already God's children but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is.

As we become more like Him, we discover our true selves, the persons we were created to be.
How can we become like Christ? By READING and HEEDING(give attention too; careful attention) the Word, by STUDING his life, spending time in PRAYER, being FILLED with his SPIRIT(Holy Spirit), and DOING his Work in the World.
Did you see that....I see six commands for us to apply in our life.

1. Read: II Cor. 3:18  So all of us who have had that VEIL REMOVED can SEE and REFLECT the glory of the Lord. And the Lord who is the Spirit makes us more and more like him as WE ARE CHANGED into his GLORIOUS IMAGE.

2. Heed: II Tim. 3:18  ALL SCRIPTURE is inspired by God and is useful to TEACH US what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It CORRECT US when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.

3. Study: Joshua 1:8 Study this Book of Instruction continually MEDITATE on it DAY and Night so you will Be sure to OBEY EVERYTHING WRITTEN IN IT. Only then will you PROSPER and SUCCEED in ALL YOU DO.
see here study: devote; Meditate: deep thought; Obey: Do It....

4. Prayer: Prov 15:8b Delights in the prayers of the upright...
God delights in us when we pray.....
Eph.6:18 Pray in the Spirit at All Times and on every occasion. STAY ALERT and BE PERSISTEN in your prayers for ALL believers everywhere.

Don't give up....God know's before we ask, but He is seeing if we are going to be faithful to pray .

5. Holy Spirit Filled: Eph. 1:13,14  And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by GIVING you the HOLY SPIRIT, whom he promised long ago. The Spirit is God's guartantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify Him.

you have to be a child of God to have the Holy Spirit indwell in you... Romans 10:9-16

6. Doer's; James 1:22a But don't just listen to God's word, You must do what is says.

You can not blame other's,,,the choice is yours.....Be Obedient to the Word of God....
Only then will you prosper and succeed.

My prayer to you ALL is Ps. 1:2,3 But they delight in the law(ALL SCRIPTURE) of the Lord meditating on it DAY and NIGHT.. They are like trees planted along the riverbank bearing fruit each season...

I pray that you will meditate on the Word of God and be planted...bearing fruit so others can see CHRIST IN YOU....

God Bless and keep watch for more on ''LORD CHANGE ME"

Outstanding Characteristcs: Courage and doubt
Major Events in His Life: Suggested the disciples go with Jesus to Bethany even if it meant death: asked Jesus about where he was going: refused to believe Jesus was risen until he could see Jesus alive and touch his wounds.
What Jesus Said about Him: Said Thomas believed because he actually saw Jesus after the Resurrection.
A Key Lesson from His Life: Even when Christians experience serious doubts, Jesus reaches out to them to restore their faith.
