The Love of Spinning

WOW! Where do I begin. My Hubby got me a spinning wheel for Christmas. This was the next thing in life I wanted to learn. He got me Louet s10. Before  he bought one he called around to see if there was a spinning guild around are area. I was so proud of him.
So Christmas day I tried spinning. Had a great laugh at myself and so did my husband. I told him how in the world can you make yarn out of this wheel. I was so...excited to attend a spinning group so I could learn all about it and did I say wanted to see how in the world you can make yarn out of this spinning wheel. It seemed like the longest month ever. I was just like a child at a candy store.  January 10th finally got here. That was my first meeting with the "Nature Bounty Spinning Guild". Oh! How fun I had with all the ladies. They welcomed me right in their group and shared and taught me so much. I was so excited I spun yarn for the first time and it looked like yarn too. I  couldn't wait to get home and show my hubby what I had done.  I can not wait for the next meeting together next month.  In the mean time I'm spinning up a storm and can't wait to show the ladies what I have done. Also I'm learning how to wash and card for my first time this week.

Here is some pictures of my projects and spinning etc.
My Christmas gift from my hubby
My first spun yarn. Oh have a story for you on the Niddy Noddy. Friend  of ours he has yard sale all year round. He asked me if I knew what a niddy noddy is. Told him I wasn't sure what it was. So he started sharing with me what it is and does. I was so excited , I told him that is something I needed for spinning equipment. Asked him what he would sell it for. Well he thought Little and said how about trade it for a turkey. Well turned to my hubby and asked if we could do that. My hubby said sure that sounds like a good trade. So that's  I got my first Niddy Noddy.
 My other two spun yarn.
I'll get back to you next month after my meeting with the "Nature's Bounty Spinning Guild"  What also I have learned and done.

Women's Retreat

What an awesome day with the ladies. The theme verse: Joshua 1:8  Study this Book of Instruction continually. on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.
Do you get that: STUDY, MEDITATE, and OBEY....
O-bey: Romans 6:17 Do it  wholeheartedly
B-rings: Psalm 42:1,2 It brings Living God, righteousness, salvation, wisdom, knowledge, and so much more.
E-verlasting: Psalm 139:24 Path of everlasting Life.
Y-earn: To be deeply affected with passion. Desire something very much, wanting something with one's whole heart and often striving to get it. Tender or eager longing.
Question I have for you.
1. Does your heart yearn deeply for the things of God?
2. Are you yearning to be in the Word of God daily and in prayer?
3. Are you yearning to be together to Worship God on the Lord's Day?
4. Are you yearning to be together in Bible Studies?
5. Are you yearning for that Fellowship with other believers.

The Living Word, Jesus Christ and the written Word the Bible can satisfy our hungry and thirsty souls.
Only two paths of Life lay before us.
1. God's Way of obedience
2. The way of rebellion and destruction

Be sure to choose God's path because the path you choose determines how you will spend eternity.
You choose life with or without God.
Read: Deuteronomy 30:11-20
I pray you will choose God's path. You will be Blessed so.
Love Deb
