Tonight we studied : Cinnamon-I learned that it helps metabolize diabetes sugars 1/8-1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon per meal helps control bloodsugar level & lower cholesterol. Uses- The bark quills are added to savory dishes in Asian and African cookery, and to desserts and drinks in Europe. Essential oils in the leaves, bark, stems, and roots are used to flavor food and scent perfumes. The antiseptic, tonic, and warning leaf oil treats nausea and hypertension. The oils can irritate skin and must be avoided during pregnancy, as they may cause miscarriage. I will share about Lavender tomorrow. With great recipes.

You have cast all my sins behind Your back. Isaiah 38:17 (If we are believers in Jesus Christ, we have already come through the storm of judgment. It happened at the Cross. Don't be bound by your guilt or your fears any longer, but realize that sin's penalty has already been paid by Christ-completely and fully.)

Being a Missionary serving in the Lord!

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my strength and my redeemer.
Psalm 19:14

Pass It On!

O God, you have taught me from my earliest childhood, and I constantly tell others about the wonderful things you do.
Psalm 71:17

Be like a Sunflower, TURN your Face to the SON!

Be like a Sunflower, TURN your Face to the SON!

How do you become a Christian?

These verses give you the beautiful answer: Salvation is as close as your own lips and heart.
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. As the Scriptures tell us. "Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced." Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him. For "Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.
Romans 10:9-13

Our Farm!

Our Farm!

Sunflower Critters

About me and hubby and my family
In the fall of 1992 we moved to Springfield Maine. Our first Missionary Field. We are Village Missionary's; Village Missions Keeping Country Churches. Here is the site to look us up and find out more what we do. http://www.village-missions.org/
We have four wonderful children(which two of them we adopted as teens)and one great son-in-law and daughter-in-law, two handsome grandsons.
We both came from Southern Maine and wanted to begin a life journey serving the Lord. But at the same time we wanted to begin a simpler lifestyle. We started raising goat's again for milk and meat, along with pigs and chickens for fresh farm eggs. With our goats: Rose, Gracie, Salt, we found that we had more milk than we could ever use. So I started teaching myself how to make yogurt, soft cheese and now I'm hooked making Goat Milk Soap. Oh! What fun and makes the house smell so good, and did I say How rewarding it is!
Our farm is blessed with one house dog and cat, 20 sum of sled dogs, two barn cats, as well as numerous chickens and few roosters, pet turkey, pigs and piglets. Our herd is composed of 14 goats, and new addition German Angora Rabbits. (which I'm learning how to use the fibers. Learning how to fiber felt and spin the fibers on my new spinning wheel.)
Our days here at Sunflower Critters Farm start top priority in the morning is feeding our farm animals, house animals and feeding of our bodies and souls that gets us started in the right direction each day: The BIBLE is like: A compass it always points the believer in the right direction.
One of my life verses is: Proverbs 3:5,6 Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in ALL you do, and he will show you which path to take.
