"A time for Cultivating" How you respond to the seed is in fact a life and death matter. Choose life in Christ! Have you ever consciously responded to the drawing power of the Spirit of God tugging at your heart, inviting you- up throught the dirt of the earth-into the sunshine of His love? Once you have decided that what God has planned for you is better than anything you could hope for yourself- 1) Carefully tend that new life- by getting into a local church, bible study. 2) Consistently nourish the Christ- life within: Read His Word, and allow it to speak to you! Pray! Learn to pray by praying! "And when the green shoot comes up out of the seed, it is very different from the seed you first planted. For all you put into the ground is a dry little seed of wheat, or whatever it is you are planting, then God gives it a beautiful new body- just the kind he wants it to have: a different kind of plant grows from each kind of seed" I Cor. 15:37-38 A time for Cultivating: If you are born into the family of God, you will begin to grow---In faith and understanding, in love for Him and others, in influence for Jesus, in production of fruit. Here is some verses to study on you own- on some ways of cultivating this Christ-life within- Psalm 119:11, 33 Psalm 1:2, Ephesians 5:20 , Philippians 4:4, 6,8 as you do look up these verses look for key words(for example: seed, planting, harvest, etc) So I hope you enjoy this nugget from God's Word. I will end with this: May your roots go down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love Eph. 3:17

Break off two pieces of dough slightly larger than the size of a tennis ball and roll out each on a floured board into a 14-by 8 inch rectangle, with a thickness of no more than 1/8 inch. With a knife, lightly mark one layer of dough into 2 1/2 inch squares(without cutting through the dough) Place 1 teaspoons of filling into the center of each square. Place second layer of dough over the first and cut through dough to form ravioli. Using a fork, press together the edges of each ravioli. Place, covered, on baking sheet and set aside. When baking sheet is full (with a single layer), refrigate or freeze. To cook fresh, place ravioli in boiling water and cook for 5 to 8 minutes, until pasta is tender. Cook frozen ravioli in boiling water for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes 25 to 30 2-inch ravioli. ENJOY! Let me know how you make out. On your homemade Ravioli.

The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed fro the farmer and bread for the hungry. It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it. Isaiah 55:10-11

To everything there is a season..

To everything there is a season
A time for- 1. planting, 2. cultivating, 3. weeding, 4. pruning, 5. harvesting. So get out those gardening tools, set those little clay pots on the counter, and start sorting the seeds. Lets get started: 1. A time for Planting-  - Selecting the seed:  So many different kinds of seeds are available for planting in the fertile soil of hearts. There is, only one with a guarantee to produce the fruit of eternal life. - Luke 8:11"This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is God's word. - Sowing the seed: You & me are the sower of the good seed, along with every other child of God. Count on it to take root! So" A TIME FOR PLANTING:" Read: Matthew 13:1-23 and Luke 8:4-14 about Christ's parable of the sower. (But please remember that a parable is an earthly story with a heavenly meaning.) I ask you what Kind of Soil do you see, and the Reaction to Seed? Next in this parable, what is Jesus illustrating with the use of: Seed, Sower, Soil, Fruit. Galatians 5:22-23 Gardener. So after reading & studying these verse's does this encourage you to sow even tiny mustard seeds of faith, daring to anticipate the promised fruit? Can you remember how the good seed was first sown in your life? How you were aware that it was taking root? Look up Luke 8:11,15.  I pray this study will help you grow in the Lord.

Numbers 6:24-26 The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.

Making Yo-Yo's from scraps of fabric's for gifts. At the Women's retreat we did up a kit for them to learn how to make yo-yo's . Each made a pin for them selfs. They did great!

For basic white Farmhouse Bread:

To the 2 cups you removed into your measuring "bowl", add 3/4 t salt and 1 t. honey (to sweeten the rise". Stir, Add 1 1/2 cups more white flour,. Stir with a wooden spoon. It's a good workout for your arm )the handle on the measuring "bowl" helps you get the job done). I love using smaller cast-iron saucepans because their thick walls absorb and distribute the heat evenly and gently-and love the crust. You can use cookie sheet make into loafs. For the size batch a 1 1/2 to 2 quart lidded cast iron saucepan works best.  If you haven't used your cast iron much , rub it with some butter and then line it with some parchment paper until gets "seasoned".  Okay know spoon your mass of sticky, gooey bread dough into the pan. Put the lid on, cocked ever so slightly so it can breathe, set aside in a warm place and wait 6-8 hours, or until it's almost time for dinner. (If you want a smooth top, wet your hands and pat the top before you set it to rise.) Now that your dough has risen all day , preheat your oven to 425. Put a muffin tin on the bottom shelf full of water. Oven moisture is what will give your bread that moist, chewy. The cast iron gives it that thin, but crisp, slightly tough crust.Take the lid off the pan and put it in the oven on the middle shelf. Baking time will vary according to shape and size . Check for doneness at 20 mintues.,using your thermometer. Once the internal temperature is 195-205 and your bread is nicely browned, remove from the oven and tip your loaf out onto a cooling rack.Butter the top while it's hot if you want. ( love the Cinnamon-Raisin Breakfast Rolls. To 2 cups mother, and 1/4 t. salt, 1/3 cup honey, 1 1/2  t. cinnamon, 3/4 cup raisins, and 1/2 cup chopped walnuts. Mix throughly. Stir in 1 cup unbleached white flour and 1/2 cup whole wheat flour. YUMMY!

The MaryJane Way! "No-Knead Artisan Bread"-

1 minute a day 5 minutes on Saturday!  Mother:
2 cups unbleached white organic flour ,
1 1/2 cups purified water.
Stir with wooden spoon. Cover with we dishtowel. Now, every morning thereafter, Monday-Friday, you're going to stir in
1/3 cup flour and
1/4 cup water.
How long does that take? Less than a minute, tops.  On the seventh day, Saturday, your mother will be ready. It should have bubbles and smell pleasantly sour. In the morning, spoon 2 cups of your mother into a mixing bowl.  and set it aside until the next day, Sunday, when you start your one-minute routine again-stirring in 1/3 cup flour and 1/4 cup water.
