Effective Prayer

Isaiah 65:24 Before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear.

God desires that we Christians be concerned and burdened for a lost world. If we pray this kind of prayer, an era of peace may come to the world and wickedness may be turned back. "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much" (James 5:16)

Salvation is free, but there is a price to pay in following Jesus.

A victorious Christian is one who, in spite of worries, inner conflicts, and tensions, is confident that God is in control and will be victorious in the end. Whatever our difficulties, whatever our circumstances, we must remember,as Corrie ten Boom used to say. "Jesus is victor!"

Joy on the Journey!

Nehemiah 8:10 The joy of the Lord is your strength.

The key is to realize you are here to serve Christ, not yourself. God does not promise us an easy life, free of troubles, trials, difficulties, and temptations. He never promises that life will be perfect. He does not call His children to a playground, but to a battleground. In the midst of it all, when we serve Christ, we truly discover that "the joy of the Lord is (our)strength."
